New Clients

NEW CLIENT INFORMATION

We have three unique practices that each have their own unique experiences. Please review the information below in order to make sure that you show up at the correct location and receive the best experience possible.

  • New Client Intake Form

If you are a new client, we will ask you to complete  our New Client Intake Form prior to your appointment. You can do it when you get here, but it is pretty extensive, so we recommend completing it before you arrive. Even if you are not able to complete it before you arrive, it is a good idea to at least take a look at it so you can get an idea of what kinds of questions we will be asking. Taking the time to really think about the questions on this form will help us create the best massage experience possible for you.

  • Arrival Time

Normally, you do not need to arrive early for your appointments. We arrange our appointments so there is some extra time at the end of your session in case we need more time for your intake before the massage, So, just plan on arriving on time for your session.

Also, we do not have front desk staff at our locations so we keep the front door locked during your appointment for privacy and security when there is not another therapist present to greet any possible visitors.

We usually have the front door unlocked 10 minutes before any scheduled appointments. If the door is still locked within 10 minutes of your appointment, feel free to knock and/or call/text 206.801.9251 (it is on the door) to let your therapist know that you have arrived.

  • Locations

We have three different locations, so please make sure that you know which location your appointment is scheduled at.

    Massage Reimagined Fremont

    Massage Reimagined Magnolia

    The Spa Reimagined (in Fremont)

If you are not sure, read your appointment confirmation email.

  • Parking

Massage Reimagined Fremont: There is plenty of street parking available unless you come at peak times or it is raining, etc. So we also have covered parking available for you in the building. The entrance is on the north side of the building off of North 45th Street. The spaces are a little tight, so please be careful. It says one-hour parking, but our clients get two hours of free parking.

Massage Reimagined Magnolia: There is plenty of street parking, but sometimes you might have to park across the street or up the block a bit.

The Spa:  There is usually plenty of street parking available. The address is Bowdoin Place, but the spa is on the corner of Bowdoin Place and 2nd Ave NW. The entrance and the best place to park is on 2nd Ave NW, just north of Bowdoin Place

  • Cancellations

We value our massage therapist's time, and we pay them for late cancellations and no-shows, so we ask our clients to be diligent about managing their appointments. You can cancel individual massage appointments up to 24 hours before the appointment with no cancellation fee. After that:

There is up to a 50% charge for cancellations less than 24 hours before your appointment start time, and a 100% charge for no-shows.

However, if we are able to schedule someone else for your appointment time, we will not charge you anything.

  • Draping Preferences/Modesty

One of the things that can cause some unease or awkwardness is deciding on the amount and type of draping that you want during your session, so let's talk a little bit about that. The style of massage that we generally do uses less draping than your basic western massage styles. It is loosely based on the Hawaiian Lomi style of massage and lets us use long, full-body strokes to treat the muscles in your neck, back, arms, hips, glutes, legs, feet, and toes as one separate-but-definitely-continuous and integrated group of muscles.

However, we can drape you as thoroughly as you want. You can select your draping style in the Intake Form above, and Please make sure to ask your therapist if you have any questions or concerns.

  • Questions or Special Preferences?

Please contact us or your specific therapist if you have any questions about your session or any special preferences that you would like us to know about ahead of time (room warmth, music, style of massage). If you have not looked at the different types of massage available, you might want to take a look before your massage to make sure that you get the best massage experience possible.

  • Nurturing Touch vs Sensual Touch

I created this practice so my therapists could practice the most creative and transformative bodywork possible. Our work is slow, intuitive, generous, and nurturing. It requires a clear understanding of boundaries as well as mutual trust and respect between the therapist and the client.

It also requires the very clear understanding that our work is deliberately non-sensual and non-sexual. Any attempts to try and make it so will result in the termination of the session.
